Explore the historical and cultural significance of la bóveda espiritual, a sacred altar for honoring ancestors and connecting with guides, and discover Caribbean spiritual practices anyone can use.
Also known as a spiritual vault, la bóveda espiritual is a sacred space for communicating with the spirit world and developing your intuition. This ancestor altar is incredibly important to Espiritismo and Afro-Caribbean traditions, yet very little has been written about its history, purpose and evolution. Drawing on his personal experience, oral teachings and academic research, Alain Isai presents one of the first complete English-language guides to this altar.
Accessible to anyone interested in ancestor veneration, regardless of experience or tradition, Bóveda Espiritual first explores the history of this altar and the cultures that developed and use it. Then it presents a variety of exercises to help you engage with your ancestors and spiritual guides. Finally, this book teaches you how to set up and use the altar for divination and developing your mediumship skills. Alain helps you access your higher self and your ancestors' vast wisdom while avoiding closed practices.
